Empowering Schools with Financial Literacy Education
At Make Sense of Pence, we are dedicated to empowering schools with financial literacy education that helps students build essential money management skills. Through our Money-Wise Workshop, we offer an interactive experience that introduces young learners to the key concepts of saving, spending, and managing money. This workshop, tailored for Key Stage 2, engages students in a fun, hands-on way.

In addition to our workshops, we provide a bank of lesson plans and resources designed to reinforce learning. These resources can be used in the classroom, as homework, or in after-school clubs, ensuring that financial literacy education continues beyond the workshop. Our goal is to support schools in developing confident, financially savvy students who are prepared for the future.
MONEy-WISE WORKSHOP
The Money-Wise Workshop is an interactive, hands-on educational session designed to teach Key Stage 2 students essential financial literacy skills. It focuses on introducing children to the concepts of money, helping them understand how to earn, save, and spend responsibly. Through engaging discussions and practical activities, students explore the difference between “needs” and “wants,” learning how to prioritise their spending.
Through the Money-Wise Workshop, students walk away with a deeper understanding of how money works and how to manage it responsibly. From digital payments to saving for the future, we WANT ensure that children are BETTER prepared for today’s financial landscape.
Throughout the session, students are encouraged to ask questions, participate in discussions, and think critically about their own experiences with money. This interactive approach ensures that the lessons are both memorable and practical, setting students up for responsible financial behaviors as they grow older.
Our goal is not to tell students what’s right or wrong, but to help them make informed decisions about their money.
TEaCHING RESOURCES
In addition to the workshop, schools have access to a comprehensive resource pack, which includes downloadable lesson plans, activities, and supplementary materials for teachers and parents.
These resources allow you to continue the conversation about money long after the workshop is over, reinforcing the lessons learned in the classroom.
